The Challenge
According to the Measure of America study, Georgia has some of the highest rates of disengaged youth, defined as people ages 16-23 who are neither in school nor working. Students we speak to note that their disengagement stems from a lack of learning experiences that are empowering, engaging, and meaningful.
Our Response
By bringing together a diverse and inclusive network of education leaders, we created deeper learning at scale across Georgia. Spanning all parts of the state, the network is represented by urban, suburban, and rural communities. And our demographics reflect the state's diversity in terms of race, percentage of English learners, and youth disengagement.
Our Aims
Among the network's goals: Expand access to Deeper Learning at scale across Georgia and drive greater youth engagement so as to energize vibrant communities for future prosperity and workforce readiness.
